Disha Patani’s sixth film as a heroine — Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai — releases today. “I was excited to work with Salman Khan for the second time and with Prabhu sir, a dance icon, for the first time,” she says.

The actress, who started her career with the Puri Jagannadh Telugu film Loafer and then played Sushant Singh Rajput’s love interest in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, first collaborated with Salman Khan in Bharat in a song-anddance routine and subsequently bagged the heroine’s role in Radhe. Talking of the audience response to Seeti Maar, she says, “I am filled with gratitude when I see the response that Seeti Maar is getting. I’m so glad that the audience is loving it. I want to thank all my fans and the audiences for all the lovely comments and appreciation.” Disha’s inspiration is international star Beyoncé. She says, “I love Beyoncé and I really look up to her when it comes to dancing. And as a kid, I always looked up to my sister, as she’s a fantastic dancer as well.” Dance is very important to her. She says she is shy and introverted, but dance takes her to a different world where she can be herself. “I like to put on some music and dance to some mood lifting tracks. That’s my happy zone where I just do freestyle. I feel very free and that gives me a lot of happiness,” Disha says.

She believes everyone is unique and has their own style of dancing. “As long as you enjoy it, your style and your personality come out,” she says.

Disha is known to be choosy about projects, rejecting more than she signs. “I just go with my instinct — I think of the kind of movies that my fans would like to see me in and make a choice,” she explains.

The actress has been having a dream run, with Malang, Radhe and then Ek Villain Returns with John Abraham and Arjun Kapoor. What’s next? “I feel extremely grateful to be part of such exciting projects this early in my career. It’s a dream come true and inspires me to work harder. I will be able to talk about other developments once formal announcements are made,” she says.
