- RABINDRA NATH CHOUDHURY BHOPAL, DEC. 6

High alert has been sounded in Madhya Pradesh after 95 international travellers who arrived in Indore from different countries in November have remained untraced so far.

The Indore district administration has launched a drive to track and test them for Covid19.

“We have received lists of 395 people who have travelled abroad in November this year. We have tracked 300 of them and ensured their home isolation for a week.

RT PCR tests have been conducted on them after their quarantine period ended.

But, 95 people who have travel history of foreign countries are yet to be tracked. We find either their mobile phones are switched off or out of coverage area”, a senior Indore district officer told this newspaper on Monday unwilling to be quoted.

According to him, 38 teams each comprising one doctor, one staff nurse and a laboratory technician have been constituted to conduct RT PCR tests of those who have travel history of foreign countries since November one this year.

Indore is the only airport in Madhya Pradesh which receives international flights every week.

RT PCR tests of 216 people with travel history of foreign countries have been done so far.
