SHOCKING OUTRAGE

-

IT IS shocking to learn that over a dozen civilians were among those killed in a military operation against extremists in Nagaland. The Army’s 3 Corps, headquartered on Dimapur’s outskirts, has accepted responsibility for the death of civilians and assured “appropriate action”. Those killed were coal miners going home to Oting village in a pickup van. The forces ambushed their vehicle and killed six of them on the spot. What excuse does the Army have for this “blunder”?
