Cong will replace Revanth after election results: Shah

Union home minister Amit Shah asserted that the Congress leadership would not permit chief minister A. Revanth Reddy to retain his position after June 4, once the Lok Sabha election results are announced.

Mr Shah claimed that Revanth Reddy was levying ‘RR Tax’ (Rahul and Revanth Tax) under the direction of the party high command, exploiting the populace for funds used in the Congress’ nationwide election campaign.

Speaking at a public gathering, supporting BJP candidates Etala Rajendar for Malkajgiri and Dharmapuri Arvind for Nizamabad, Mr Shah promised that a BJP government at the Centre would ensure the ‘corrupt

Addressing a case filed against him by city police after children were seen with him on the dais, Mr Shah declared he wouldn’t react like Revanth Reddy and anticipate­d the case’s dismissal in the high court.

Encouragin­g voters to elect Etala Rajendar from Malkajgiri, a BC community member, Shah pledged that the BJP would substitute Muslim reservatio­ns with ones for BCs, SCs, and STs. He refuted Congress' claims that the Modi government removed reservatio­ns, highlighti­ng achievemen­ts like banning triple talaq, revoking Article 370, and constructi­ng the Ayodhya Ram temple.

Mr Shah criticised the “INDI alliance,” labeling it leaderless, and urged voters to choose between Congress’ alleged scams totaling `12 lakh crore and Mr Modi’s corruption-free tenure.

He ridiculed Mr Gandhi’s Bangkok trip during Diwali, contrastin­g it with Mr Modi’s celebratio­n with border jawans. In Nizamabad, Mr Shah vowed to eradicate Naxalism and commended the PM’s handling of Pakistan-sponsored terror after surgical strikes.
