BSF observing Vigilance Awareness Week

GUWAHATI, Oct 26: Border Security Force (BSF), Guwahati Frontier is observing a week-long Vigilance Awareness Week at Patgaon, Guwahati from today. The awareness week will continue till November 1.

The theme of this year!s Vigilance Awareness Week is "Independen­t India @75: Reliance with Integrity!.

The observance of the week commenced with a vigilance pledge by Sanjay Singh Gehlot, Inspector General, Frontier HQ, Guwahati at Patgaon.

While administer­ing the pledge, Gehlot said the objective of the week is to reaffirm the commitment to fight unethical practices, blatant violation of systems and procedures, corruption prevailing at workplaces.

He emphasized the need for creating awareness on governance in the force. He also briefed the personnel about the week-long programme.

Essay competitio­n, cycle rally, painting competitio­n among BSF employees, displaying banners, slogans and posters on the anti-corruption theme at prime locations will also be organised during the week at the Frontier HQ as well as units and sectors under the Command Guwahati Frontier.
