Ajit Mo­han, chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer (CEO) Hot­star, the stream­ing plat­form launched by Star In­dia, has been named Face­book In­dia’s vice-pres­i­dent (VP) and manag­ing di­rec­tor (MD). In his new role, Mo­han will be align­ing teams and driv­ing Face­book’s over­all strat­egy in In­dia. Mo­han will join Face­book early next year. He will be re­spon­si­ble for Face­book’s In­dia strat­egy and for driv­ing the com­pany’s con­tin­ued in­vest­ment in In­dia.


ALT­Bal­aji has ap­pointed Divya Dixit as se­nior vice pres­i­dent and head mar­ket­ing. Pre­vi­ously, Dixit worked with ZEE5 as vice pres­i­dent mar­ket­ing. Prior to join­ing ZEE5, Dixit worked with LeEco as di­rec­tor con­tent mar­ket­ing and be­fore that with Per­cept Live as head mar­ket­ing. Over 16 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in mar­ket­ing, Dixit has also worked with Saregama In­dia, Tata Do­como, Star In­dia, UTV, Sony En­ter­tain­ment Tele­vi­sion and Barista Cof­fee Com­pany in the past.


Hari Nair, erst­while di­rec­tor - dig­i­tal busi­ness at Sony Mu­sic - has been hired as chief dig­i­tal of­fi­cer by Phono­graphic Per­for­mance Lim­ited (PPL) In­dia. Nair brings ex­per­tise in build­ing dig­i­tal prod­ucts and busi­ness, and will be part of the lead­er­ship team at PPL. He will be re­port­ing to Ra­jat Kakar, pres­i­dent and CEO of PPL. Nair’s pri­mary re­spon­si­bil­ity will be to trans­form the tra­di­tional busi­ness and pro­cesses into new age dig­i­tal ones. Ad­di­tion­ally, he would lead the ra­dio busi­ness, mem­ber­ship teams and be re­spon­si­ble for PR and com­mu­ni­ca­tion strat­egy, in­clud­ing so­cial me­dia.
