Prior to this, Joshi was working as the SVP and head-marketing, subscriptions and content licensing - digital business at Sony Pictures Networks India. Joshi brings with him over 15 years of extensive experience in marketing, analytics, business development and content partnerships, strategy business planning and execution expertise spanning across television networks, internet video, content distribution, ad agencies and brand licensing and marketing.
Hotstar, a premium streaming platform, recently announced the appointment of Sameer Kapoor as vice-president, agency ad sales. In his new role, Kapoor will be responsible for driving relationships with media agencies to deliver measurable and impactful media strategy for clients through Hotstar. Kapoor brings over 17 years of media and marketing experience to the table, having managed offline and online platforms in leadership roles across diverse industries and geographies. He joins Hotstar from Google, where he was head of brand measurement for the India and Southeast Asia markets.
Studio Mojo, a Bangalorebased regional video network, has roped in Mithun Koroth as its business development director. Koroth will work with OTT platforms for creating original programming in various regional languages. He will also be responsible for licensing regional language content to Telcos, IPTV players and OTT players both in India and in markets such as Middle East and North Africa region and Southeast Asia.
The programmatic company, Oplifi, has appointed Deepak Bhutani as head of business development of the company. Bhutani will be based out of Oplifi’s Mumbai office and will drive the growth across APAC and Middle East markets. Bhutani has over two decades of experience and has worked with companies such as The Times of India, Yahoo! and Komli Media.
