Times Net­work

Khushbu Shah, gen­eral man­ager mar­ket­ing, English en­ter­tain­ment clus­ter, Times Net­work, has quit the com­pany. Oc­to­ber 26 was her last day at the com­pany. Shah joined the net­work in Septem­ber 2016 and was work­ing for two years. Prior to that, she worked with Fame Dig­i­tal as se­nior man­ager - mar­ket­ing. Be­fore that, she worked with 9X Me­dia as se­nior man­ager - mar­ket­ing for five years. In the past Shah has worked with Ben­nett Cole­man and Co, Red­if­fu­sion DY&R and Times of In­dia.

Ini­tia­tive

Ini­tia­tive, IPG Me­dia­brands’ me­dia agency, has ap­pointed Alok Sinha as chief strat­egy of­fi­cer (CSO). In his new role, Sinha will drive Ini­tia­tive’s strate­gic plan­ning na­tion­ally and will work col­lab­o­ra­tively with all clients of the agency. Sinha moves from Ogilvy & Mather, where he headed strat­egy for the north­ern re­gion as pres­i­dent plan­ning.

Havas

Global com­mu­ni­ca­tions group Havas, has pro­moted Anita Nayyar to CEO of Havas Me­dia South­east Asia (SEA). It is in ad­di­tion to her role as CEO of Havas Me­dia In­dia. In this new­ly­cre­ated role, Nayyar’s ex­per­tise will en­able brands in In­dia to ex­pand their foot­print to SEA. She will work closely with re­gional and lo­cal lead­er­ship in SEA, and will re­port to Vishnu Mo­han, chair­man and CEO of Havas Group, In­dia and South­east Asia. The ap­point­ment is ef­fec­tive im­me­di­ately.

SPNI

Sony Pic­tures Net­works In­dia (SPN) has roped in In­dranil Chakra­vorty as the head of Stu­dioNEXT, its in­de­pen­dent pro­duc­tion ven­ture. Chakra­vorty will be re­port­ing to Dan­ish Khan. To­gether, Chakra­vorty and Khan will set up the stu­dio busi­ness. Stu­dioNEXT has been man­dated to cre­ate orig­i­nal con­tent and IPs for TV and dig­i­tal me­dia. An in­de­pen­dent busi­ness unit of SPN, Stu­dioNEXT will func­tion as a con­tent cre­ator for SPN me­dia busi­ness as well as for other chan­nels, net­works and OTT play­ers within In­dia and glob­ally.

ZEE5

ZEE5 In­dia, one of the largest OTT plat­forms known for its mus­cle in multi-lin­gual con­tent, has an­nounced the ap­point­ment of Taran­jeet Singh as the chief rev­enue of­fi­cer and busi­ness head - new projects for the plat­form. Singh comes with ex­ten­sive ex­pe­ri­ence in the me­dia and en­ter­tain­ment space. Prior to join­ing ZEE5, he was lead­ing busi­ness for the In­dian oper­a­tions of Twit­ter. He brings with him a rich body of ex­pe­ri­ence across strat­egy, rev­enue man­age­ment, peo­ple re­la­tions, data an­a­lyt­ics, fore­cast­ing and has worked with some of the lead­ers in the M&E space in­clud­ing BBC World­wide, Out­look Pub­lish­ing, The Pi­o­neer and so on.
