AAP Announces to Go Solo in Coming Lok Sabha Polls
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on August 9th said his party will not join any of the proposed alliance against the BJP for 2019 general elections. He said the parties who are joining the proposed alliance have had no role in the country’s development.
“The AAP will not be a part of any alliance in 2019,” Kejriwal said in Rohtak. He said his party will contest the Haryana Legislative Assembly polls and the general elections from all seats. Blaming the PM Modi-led central government for the pending development works in Delhi, he alleged that hurdles were created for every step taken by his government for people’s welfare. The AAP Three Upper House MPs had abstained from the recently held election for the post of Deputy Speaker of the Rajya Sabha alleging their support was not sought by the Congress party.
