Champs Millwal crash out
MUMBAI: Favourites and defending champions Millwal FC crashed out in the quarter-final play-off round of the men’s Premier Division of the 10th Bandra West Football League 2013, organised by the BWFA (Bandra West Football Association). Millwal succumbed to a 1-3 defeat at the hands of Athletico Bandra in a keenly fought match at the Dr. Norman Lewis Supari Talao Municipal ground. For the winners Garfield Pereira netted a brace and Ben Fernandes one, while Sumin Ravindran got the consolation goal for the losers. Companeroes Sports Club, too, suffered a shock defeat as they went down to Bandra Packers 1-2 in a charged up encounter.
