ANOTHER WOMAN HANGS SELF

A 47-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at her residence in Jogeshwari East as she got fed up with her sickness, the police said. The woman had high blood pressure and this condition had led to a heart problem. Also, she had undergone a cataract surgery. The incident took place in Pratap her death from the 23rd floor of Cuffe Parade's Maker Tower A, the cops are yet to ascertain the motive behind the drastic step taken by the deceased.

Chanda, who had been working for the past oneand-a-half years at the residence of diamond merchant Yogesh Ramesh Bulchandan­i, was found dead at 12.30 am on Thursday, after a taxi-driver, who had parked his vehicle outside the building, heard a loud thud of her body falling to Nagar slum early on Friday morning. Meghwadi police said Sulochna Darji’s death came to light at noon when her family members broke open the door.

Her husband, two daughters and a son survive her. Her husband is a tailor and her children are aged between 20 and 22. Cuffe Parade's Ambedkar Nagar Slum Colony. The cops are confident of a breakthrou­gh in the case after accessing the call detail records of Chanda's phone.

“Detailed statements of several people have been recorded in Ambedkar Nagar, but they do not know the motive for the suicide. Things will become much clearer once we know whom she had spoken to on her cell phone in her last hours,” said a police officer from Cuffe Parade.
