Art Plaza Silver Jubilee Celebration

What: The Plaza Artist’s Association, is celebrating this year 25 years of its contribution in the art world, serving art and artists and creating awareness amongst people to appreciate art. Plaza Artist’s Association was founded in 1988 to encourage budding artists by Late K.M. Shenoy, Late S.T. Mali, Late. S.S. Tinaikar, then commissioner of MCGB and Jal Mehta over the years has been rendering yeoman services for promotion of contemporary art. Brihan Mumbai Mahanagarpalika has been main pillar supporting this noble cause. Following are the programmes planned for this celebration: Child Art Competition open for student of 5th to 10th Standard on Dec 1 at 11 am; Portrait competition open for artists on Dec 8 at 11 am; Landscape competition open for artists Dec 22 at 11am. Other programmes include demonstration of eminent artists for paintings & sculptures for the benefits of students, upcoming artists & art enthusiasts. Dattatraya Padekar, Prithvi Soni, Pramod Kamble, Pramod Kurlekar, Anant Mandal, Prafull Sawant and Sanjay Shelar have so for regaled art students with their live demos. Forthcoming artists for live demos in this include – Anil Naik Achyut Palav, Ravindra Salvi, Vasudev Kamath, Suhas Bahulkar & Vijay Achrekar and others.
