A simple guide to ‘Retirement Planning’

The Free Press Journal - - BUSINESS -

The book, ‘Retirement Planning’ is a simple guide for individuals that describes the topic of retirement planning for individuals along with future growth of financial products in India, written by R K Mohapatra, from IRCON International Ltd, published by Blue Rose Publishers, New Delhi. The book in meticulous introduction running in to 252 pages and 9 chapters

reflects and focuses on an individual’s retirement needs, corpus for retirement, and use of created corpus after the superannuation. In the book, author Mohapatra has elaborately explained with well-researched analysis and analytical calculation on how to accumulate retirement corpus during the preretirement period besides educating readers about ways to preserve the accumulated corpus during the preservation stage, and thus get the desired post-retirement expenses during the distribution stage. Author covers an important aspect of financial planning that is about Succession Planning. Large part of the population has neglected this aspect and even the small part of population which is aware, feels that same is needed only when one near to retirement or post retirement. The biggest fear for large part of population about retirement is its ability to maintain the current life style post retirement. Unlike in West, India does not have social security and hence many look forward to their children or next generation to support their retirement planning.
