Ten boys booked for 'unnatural sex' with minor

Ten minor boys have been arrested by the Andheri police for sexually assaulting a 15year-old minor boy. The minors have been arrested under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act for unnatural sex. They were produced at the juvenile court and have been remanded to the Dongri juvenile home.

According to Senior Police Inspector, Pandit Thorat, Andheri police station, “The juveniles who were from the same neighbourh­ood of the victim cornered the boy at Mograpada area at Andheri and forcefully had unnatural sex with him. The juveniles recorded the incident and threatened the minor boy that if he did not agree to their demands, they would upload his videos and would circulate it on the social media. They also threatened him that if he would complain to anyone about the incident, he would have to face the consequenc­es.” Since the boy was quiet, his parents suspected that something was amiss. After the child confided, the parents approached the police and reported the matter. The minor boy and the juveniles are schoolmate­s.

Nooyi meets Fadnavis

MUMBAI: Maharashtr­a and Pepsico on Tuesday entered into an agreement to drive skill developmen­t with a focus to modernise the ITIs as well as work on skill developmen­t of workers in various food processing units.

The agreement was signed after Pepsico chair Indra Nooyi met Maharashtr­a Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis here today, Pepsico said in a statement.

The company already runs a partnershi­p in the state under which it has invested Rs 180 crore in a citrus processing facility. "We are committed to invest further in the state's progress with increased agricultur­al sourcing.
