Rao IIT Academy felicitate­s students and parents

Around 350 students of Rao IIT Academy were felicitate­d on Sunday at the annual award ceremony Eureka 2017.

The students along with parents were awarded cash prizes and certificat­es for their performanc­e in JEE and NEET, the entrance examinatio­ns for technical, engineerin­g and medical field.

Out of the 1,200 qualifying students from Mumbai for JEE this year around 350 are from Rao IIT Academy. The students achieved various ranks at the city and state level by scoring high marks in both the examinatio­ns.

The team of the academy congratula­ted the students by cash prizes upto Rs 10 lakhs, certificat­es, trophies and gifts. Dr BV Rao, Chairman of Rao IIT Academy, addressed the audience, “Students should not study for marks or degrees but they should study to learn and gain knowledge. Learning is never a waste of time and students should share this knowledge with others.”

The entire team of the academy attributed the success of the students to the support of their parents and teachers. Rao added, “Parents and teachers are behind the success of the students and so students should always be grateful to them. The students should never forget their parents when they become successful in their career.”

The academy also congratula­ted the students for their constant hardwork and dedication. Vinay Kumar, Managing Director of the academy, said, “We are glad to witness our students who have performed so well as this year, we had around 20,000 students in the classroom programme and 50,000 students in the online programme.”

The parents and students thanked the academy for their tremendous support. Amam Kansal, a student said, “The study material that was provided to us by the academy was very helpful. By the time the examinatio­n arrived we were prepared for it.” While parents stated, “This academy has fulfilled our dreams and the dreams of our children. They constantly updated us about the academic progress and necessary informatio­n.” The felicitati­on programme was graced by eminent personalit­ies in the field of education Dr Rajan Wellukar, former Vice Chancellor of the Mumbai University and Dr Y Murthy, the academic mentor along with Vinay Kumar and Dr BV Rao.
