Rao IIT Academy student shines bright at IIT-Bombay

With an exemplary performanc­e at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT-B), Aniket Patankar, has been honoured with two prestigiou­s awards at the end of his final year of engineerin­g course. Patankar, 22-yearold, who managed to secure admission at IIT-B due to the continuous guidance and direction at Rao IIT Academy, has now secured a job at Boston. Patankar studied two years at Rao IIT Academy and scored the All India Rank 334 at Joint Entrance Examinatio­n (JEE), the engineerin­g entrance examinatio­n. Following which he secured admission at IIT-B for the Mechanical Engineerin­g programme. Patankar further scored 9.89 points at his final year of engineerin­g. And was thus awarded the Best Academic Performanc­e and Best Performanc­e in the Department at IIT-B. Patankar said, "I was focused all thorough the four years of my graduation. My aim was to perform well so that I could fulfill my dream of studying and working out of India." Patankar has now been awarded a two year internship programme at the Massachuse­tts Institute of Technology (MIT) at Cambridge. "I have got the opportunit­y to work under a mechanical engineer and get hands-on practical experience of the field. After this, my aim is to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)," Patankar added. Patankar stated that the beginning of his journey was the primary phase. Patankar recollecte­d, "My preparatio­n for JEE which got me an entry to IIT-B was the major phase. Rao IIT Academy helped me with notes and personal training to solve my doubts. I was given personal assistance whenever I needed help. By the end of the two years I was thoroughly prepared for the engineerin­g entrance examinatio­n."
