Cong VP on another Gujarat tour from Oct 9

-

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi is giving maximum time to Gujarat as never before in any other state except own state of Uttar Pradesh. He is exuding confidence to oust the BJP in the Assembly elections in December to end its continuous rule for over two decades and break the spell of the Modi magic in the state.

He was in Gujarat only last week touring Saurashtra for three days and he is returning to Gujarat again next week for a 3-day tour of the central Gujarat from October 9 covering Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Chhota Udaipur, Anand and Kheda.

The party sources said he would be following the same pattern of bus travel with meetings in villages on the roadside as also separate meetings with farmers, traders, youth and women self-help groups.

Two more 3-day trips of Rahul are in store before the polls are announced in the state to cover the entire state. He may slip in one or two days for Himachal Pradesh which is also to go to polls in December along with Gujarat but his full focus remains on Gujarat. His first rally in Himachal Pradesh will be in Mandi town on Sunday.

The Congress leaders in Gujarat are excited from the massive response to Rahul’s visits as they say the contrast is the protests against almost every meeting in Gujarat. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was booed on several occasions and even the “Gaurav Yatra” flagged off by BJP President Amit Shah two days ago encountered protests by people at several places.
