‘Probe graft charges against Shami’
NEW DELHI: The Committee of Administrators (CoA) chairman Vinod Rai has instructed BCCI's Anti-Corruption chief Neeraj Kumar to probe alleged corruption allegations against Mohammad Shami, surfaced during a reported telephonic conversation between the fast bowler and his wife Hasin Jahan. Jahan has also filed a police complaint against the pacer alleging infidelity and domestic violence, resulting in BCCI withholding Shami's central contract. The CoA chief asked Kumar to submit a report within a week. It is to be noted that the letter nowhere mentions the word "match-fixing". Last week, Jahan on her Facebook page alleged that Shami was cheating on her and that she was a victim of domestic violence. Shami, though has denied all the allegations, saying it was a conspiracy to defame him and ruin his career.
