India-Palestine Solidarity Forum criticises ‘double-faced’ Centre

- STAFF REPORTER /

India Palestine Solidarity Forum slammed the Indian government for being doublefaced in the Palestine-Israeli issue on Monday at a press conference held at the Mumbai Patrakar Sangh. During the conference, various leftist parties and organisations voiced their opinion regarding the whole situation and announced a peaceful protest which will take place on Tuesday.

The protest march is a way to show their support towards thousands of Palestinians opposing Trump’s decision of shifting the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem which has been the centre of dispute since a long time. Trump’s decision of shifting the US embassy to Jerusalem has been criticised widely and has attracted world’s attention leaving no hope for a settlement towards the two state's solution. Though in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) India voted against the US along with 127 other nations regarding Trump’s declaration of Jerusalem being a part of Israel. The leftist parties in India claimed that though India is siding with Palestine its actions and interests prove otherwise.

“The Indian masses are on Palestinians side of the as we can clearly see that the practices adopted by Israel are nowhere near peace as they
