After Mira Road registered a FIR under the relevant sections of the Environment Protection Act against eight people including the legislator’s younger brother Vinod Mehta (who also happens to be the husband of Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation Mayor Dimple Mehta), the office of the Konkan Division al Commissioner has directed the District Collector, Thane to conduct a detailed probe and submit its report in this context to the violation.
