Santacruz police arrest actor Armaan Kohli for assaulting his live-in partner
MUMBAI: Actor Armaan Kohli was arrested by the Santacruz police on Tuesday for assaulting his live-in-partner Neeru Randhwa. Randhwa, a fashion stylist, registered a FIR with the Santacruz police against the actor on June 4. Kohli and Randhwa have been in a live-in relationship since 2015. According to SPI Shantanu Pawar of the Santacruz police, "An argument had broken out between Armaan Kohli and Neeru Randhwa. Randhwa manages Kohli’s villa in Goa, which is often rented out, and had made a booking for a client. However, the client had made the payment to the villa staff and not to Randhwa. When Kohli asked Randhwa about the money, she said that she would ask the staff to transfer the money. This enraged Kohli angry and he abused Randhwa in filthy language. As per the police, he caught her by the hair and banged her head against the floor." Randhwa reportedly sustained injuries to her head and knees. According to Deepak Devraj, DCP and Mumbai Police spokesperson, “Armaan Kohli has been arrested. He was arrested from Lonavla and has been brought to Santacruz police station." A FIR was registered against Kohli on June 4. He has been booked and arrested for voluntarily causing hurt (Section 323), voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means (Section 326), intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace (Section 504) and criminal intimidation (Section 506) of IPC.
