Govt appoints Arijit Basu as SBI managing director till Oct 31

MUMBAI: The government on Friday appointed Arijit Basu as managing director of State Bank of India till October 31, 2020. Basu has been serving as deputy managing director. SBI currently has three managing directors—B Shriram, PK Gupta and Dinesh Kumar Khara. The position of the fourth MD has been vacant since Rajnish Kumar's elevation as Chairman in October.
