Work underway to make Deoghar a world-class city, says Jharkhand CM
Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das has said in the next two to three years Deoghar would be on a par with other international cities. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating the Shravani Mela on Saturday, he said in the the month of Shravan devotees visit Deoghar, which is also known as Devnagri, and is a sacred place for people. “Baba Baidyanath gives power to the state to be self-supporting, prosperous and developed...This is an opportunity for residents of Deoghar to discharge their responsibility. Deoghar is ready to welcome devotees and kanwariyas,” he said.
Work is underway to make Deoghar a world-class city. This will strengthen the economy of the state and create jobs, he added.
Chief Minister said that on every Monday of the month of Shravan, he will be confronted with devotees and Kanwariyas so that their problems can be solved. They can also put their suggestions on social media like Twitter and Facebook, he said.
He said those who cannot visit the Jyotirlings can visit Shivlok and see the replicas of these temples added that the replicas of the Char Dham will be made permanent at the venue. Work over this will commence after the month of Shravani and will be established by next year.
The chief minister said tourists can also visit the developed places. “Jharkhand has lot of potential in natural, eco and cultural tourism and has also the potential to create jobs for the unemployed,” he stated
He said woman of Jharkhand have entrepreneur skills but they needed skill development and branding designing and marketing of their products. Mr Das said that women of self help groups in Jharkhand are manufacturing insence sticks and efforts would be made so that insence sticks from outside are less brought in the state.
