Take up Kiki dare, face the music: Mumbai Police

- STAFF REPORTER

Mumbai Police on Thursday issued a warning on its Twitter handle cautioning the public from trying stunts by participating in the Kiki challenge, now trending on the internet. The new campaign by Mumbai Police on Twitter states, "We love your safety and cannot leave it to be decided by Kiki. Kiki is bored of her challenge. Stop it and get into the car." To participate in the Kiki challenge, people step out of their moving cars, and dance to the tunes of the track by the Canadian singer Drake, ‘In My Feelings’, from his latest album, ‘Scorpion’.

According to Manjunath Singe, Deputy Commissioner of Police and Mumbai spokesperson, "We have been regularly conducting campaigns and warning citizens to not take up the Kiki challenge since it is risky and may cause loss of life and injuries. It also puts the life of people travelling in other vehicles at risk. We have launched another meme on Thursday, "We love your safety and cannot leave it to be decided by Kiki. I appeal to the public not to indulge in harmful stunts."

On July 25, Mumbai police had created a meme: Not just a risk for you but your act can put life of others at risk too. Desist from public nuisance or face the music!DanceYourWayToSafety #InMySafetyFeelingsChallenge

On Thursday, Gujarat Police issued a warning after the video of a middle-aged woman Rizwana Mir went viral and have ordered a probe in the matter.
