Rahul talks sense

-

Though there is a hue and cry made by the saffron brigade over the utterances of Rahul Gandhi in Berlin and London on issues relating to India, what they have conveniently forgotten is that it is only Prime Minister Narendra Modi who set a bad precedence for such washing of dirty clothes in public whenever he visited foreign countries. Despite advice from the sane populace that he should avoid such unpalatable remarks in the foreign soil, he cared tuppence and continued to go ahead with his comments decrying the earlier governments and its leaders in his efforts to pose himself as the sole and emerging 'saviour' of India. At least we find the comments of Rahul to be mild and civil and most of his utterances, say like, the RSS-BJP combine is trying to capture the institutions and divide the people of India in the name of caste, community, creed and religion are relevant and true. Can anyone dispute his assertion that the shady demonetisation of currency and the hurriedly announced GST

without proper homework have done the maximum damage to the small and medium industries and led to the shutting down of large number of such industries resulting in thousands losing their jobs? Hasn’t lynching of innocents in the name of ‘holy cow’ become a day-to-day affair only and only after the RSS-patronised BJP came to power in 2014? — Shalini Gerald
