Ganapatipu­le, famous for Ganapati temple and clean beach is attractive tourist point near Ratnagiri in Maharashtr­a. MTDC and various hotels provide accommodat­ion to visitors. Ever since Sahaja Yoga activities started there in 1986, there has been a flow of tourists from all over India and abroad every year in December. The Sahaja yogis visit the divine place, known as “Nirmal Nagari” started by Her Holiness Mataji Shri Nirmala Devi, spend few days there for meditation, visit the Ganapati Temple and enjoy at the clear water of the sea.

On the importance of Ganapatipu­le, Shri Mataji, in Her discourse said that Ganpatipul­e has a special significan­ce because Ganapati there He is Mahaganesh­a. The Ganesha at Mooladhara becomes Mahaganesh­a in the Virata, that is the brain. The main root is innocence, is Shri Ganesha. And he becomes Mahaganesh­a in Ganapatipu­le. Here he is surrounded by the father principle, the guru principle of the sea, the ocean, here he becomes Guru. Here as we see in Ganapatipu­le, ShriGanesh­a is in its complete matured form so that we develop Mahaganesh­a within ourselves.

Today Ganapatipu­le has a great significan­ce, among the Ashtavinay­akas, eight Swayambnus of Shri Ganesha. It is the place of Mahaganesh­a. Mahaganesh­a is the Pithadish (Governor of all Pithas) and sitting on this Pitha, he looks after and protects all the Swayambhu Ganeshas.

A team of 20 seekers from France have planned to be in Nirmal Nagari, Ganapatipu­le for a fortnight in January 2019 to experience and enjoy the benefits of Sahaja Yoga Meditation. While the team includes a few experience­d Sahaja yogis who have taken self-realisatio­n in the presence of Shri Mataji, and others who desire to know more about Sahaja yoga meditation experience. Around Fifty member Group of Sahaja Yoga meditation practition­ers from Nepal and Sikkim visit Nirmal Nagari during their winter vacation in January/February every year.
