Wall collapse in Tardeo kills two

MUMBAI: Two people were killed and one injured, after a wall collapsed at a construction site near the Tardeo Regional Transport Office (RTO) on Saturday afternoon. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's disaster management cell, the incident occurred around 12 noon. The deceased have been identified as Faiz Khan, 24, and Tapan Das, 28. Jaydeo Roy, 22, sustained minor injuries and was discharged from Nair Hospital after treatment. The ground had been dug for the laying of basement pillars. Meanwhile, as a result of drilling, the soil had loosened, resulting in the wall crashing down on the three people standing on the spot, police said. An Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered by Tardeo Police.
