Mallya’s lounge to be allotted to Poonawalla for Rs 1.61 cr

Absconding tycoon Vijay Mallya’s lounge at the Mahalaxmi Race Course which has been lying idle will soon be filled with spectators. Situated on the first deck of the racecourse, it will soon be allotted to Zaveri Poonawalla.

Confirming this while speaking to Free Press Journal, NHS Mani, secretary and the CEO of Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) said, “The air-conditioned lounge, which was ideal, will soon be allotted to Zaveri Poonawalla, after the committee meets later this month.”

Mani went on to add that Zaveri Poonawalla, the lone bidder, had bid for the lounge for Rs 1.61 crore. Mani said the lounge had been vacant for over a year.
