Mallya’s lounge to be al­lot­ted to Poon­awalla for Rs 1.61 cr

Ab­scond­ing ty­coon Vi­jay Mallya’s lounge at the Ma­ha­laxmi Race Course which has been ly­ing idle will soon be filled with spec­ta­tors. Si­t­u­ated on the first deck of the race­course, it will soon be al­lot­ted to Zaveri Poon­awalla.

Con­firm­ing this while speak­ing to Free Press Jour­nal, NHS Mani, sec­re­tary and the CEO of Royal West­ern In­dia Turf Club (RWITC) said, “The air-con­di­tioned lounge, which was ideal, will soon be al­lot­ted to Zaveri Poon­awalla, af­ter the com­mit­tee meets later this month.”

Mani went on to add that Zaveri Poon­awalla, the lone bid­der, had bid for the lounge for Rs 1.61 crore. Mani said the lounge had been va­cant for over a year.
