ATHAWALE SLAPPED BY YOUTH AT AMBERNATH

Union min­is­ter for so­cial jus­tice Ram­das Athawale was slapped by a youth in Ambernath, around 55 kilo­me­ter away from Mum­bai on Satur­day night. Later he was iden­ti­fied as Praveen Gosavi, Repli­can Party of In­dia (RPI) Worker.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Athawale was in Ambernath to at­tend a pub­lic meet­ing. Af­ter con­clud­ing the pro­gramme, when Athawale step down from the stage, a youth come close to him and slapped the min­is­ter. Athawale sup­port­ers im­me­di­ately take cus­tody of the youth and beat him. Po­lice have taken a youth in cus­tody. How­ever, the rea­son is not yet con­firmed.
