Father kills son-in-law in anger on witnessing daughter’s torture

A man brutally beat up his son-in-law after witnessing his daughter being tortured by the latter in Savli village, Miraj, on Friday. The sonin-law succumbed to injuries, while the woman is battling for life after the beating she received from her husband.

The deceased has been identified as Janeshwar Bamne. He was visiting Savli, where his in-laws reside, to attend a jatra (fair). Due to some reason, a fight broke out between Janeshwar and wife Geetanjali in her parents’ home. Janeshwar brutally beat up her, seriously injuring her.

Enraged at the torture meted to his daughter, Annaso Shinde tied Janeshwar to a pillar in the compound and beat him. Janeshwar died of the injuries. Kupwad MIDC police rushed to the spot on learning of the incident and arrested Annaso. They are now investigating how many more people helped Annaso to tie and beat up Janeshwar.

Annnaso was arrested immediately.
