HDFC hold CR 2-2

HDFC Bank and Central Railway (CR) shared the spoils in a tense 2-2 draw in Elite Division match of the MDFA League at Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri. Akshay Kamble and Shabhaz Khan were on target for CR while Prakyath Shetty and Sherwin Gonsalves scored for HDFC Bank. CR started on a promising note and grabbed the initiative when Akshay Kamble found the net in the 20th minute to take the lead. But their joy was short-lived as six minutes later Prakyath Shetty struck the equaliser for HDFC Bank. Later, HDFC snatched the lead with striker Sherwin Gonsalves scoring in the 35th minute to give the bankers a 2-1 half-time lead. The railwaymen fought back and drew level with Shabhaz Khan netting their second goal in the 53rd minute.
