Manthan: An exhibition of paintings

-

WHAT: ‘Manthan’, an exhibition of paintings by young contemporary artist Aashi Prajapati. Shedding light on her work, Aashi says, “I have shown art with subtle nuances by creating my new series called ‘Manthan’, which means churning. Churning takes place in the mind of an artist. I have tried to show Manthan or churning which takes place in my mind because of various emotional stimuli. Art of any kind is an artist’s response to such stimuli. When something pinches the soul, when conscience is shaken, when emotions gets resurrected, art of any kind takes birth. These stimuli arise from my own thoughts. A ferocious explosion, mind turbulence, a stormy whirlpool and sometimes my peaceful inner mind...after all other reactions are over. My paintings are my response to all such stimuli.” WHEN: February 6 to 10, 11 am to 8 pm
