ROACH YOUR ‘EX’ THIS VALENTINE’S

Take heart, all ye who are so consumed by rage about your exes. Here’s a roach story that will warm the cockles of your heart, inasmuch as any story featuring those detestable arthropods can. A Valentine’s Day event at a zoo in Texas, US, is hoping to offer closure to those still simmering. One can send the name (initials or first names only) of the annoying ex to the zoo on Facebook and the authorities will name a cockroach after the ex and feed it to one of their meerkats on February 14. Apparently, meerkats, which are small carnivorans belonging to the mongoose family, love to munch on cockroaches.

The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and the zoo’s website on that day.

Over 1,500 entries had been received from near and far, since the event was listed on Facebook.
