Former Gujarat Home Minister’s murder case back in apex court

-

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court on Friday listed a public interest litigation (PIL) seeking a fresh probe into the murder of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya in 2003 before the Bench of Justices Arun Mishra and Vineet Saran, which reserved ruling after the government''s appeal against the Gujarat High Court acquitting all 12 accused. Pandya, who had fallen out with then Chief Minister Narendra Modi, was found shot dead in his car near a park in Ahmedabad while on his morning walk, leading to suspicion of Modi''s hand until the CBI nabbed 12 for the murder.
