SA Prez confirms national elections on May 8
JOHANNESBURG: South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, during his State of the Nation address here on Thursday (local time) announced that national elections in the country would be held on May 8 this year. During his speech, the President stated that South Africa has made tremendous improvement in the last one year, since he joined the Office in February 2018, and had begun to recover from a period of uncertainty and a loss of confidence and trust under the previous government headed by Jacob Zuma, Washington Post reported.
