St Stanislaus dominate Gokuldham and St Aloysius
St Stanislaus boys had a great day as both A and B teams registered victories over their opponents in the Boys U-10 Div I league stage match of the MSSA InterSchool Hockey Tournament at St Stanislaus grounds on Friday.
St Stanislaus A routed Gokuldhan, Goregaon 10-0. Mark D’mello put up an impressive performance scoring three goals in the 2nd, 6th and 13th minute to burry the match early. Skye D'costa and Jordan Desmond scored two goals each. In another match, St Stanislaus B team defeated a strong St Aloysius team 3-1 to advance to the next round. Kevin Saldhana scored two of the three goals in the 12th and 25th minute.
In Boys' U-14 quarter-final, St Stanislaus was in the forefront as they defeated Don Bosco, Borivali by 6-0 to advance into the semis. Shyane Dcosta scored two goals and was supported by his teammates Jayden, Kenan, Shaad and Shaun, who all scored a goal each. St Stanislaus B team was unlucky as St Andrews scored an upset win over them scoring 4-2 in the tiebreaker.
