BJP will win 43 seats: Fadnavis
PUNE: A day after the Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar said he would consider contesting from Madha, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that in the forthcoming Lok Sabha (LS) polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will contest 43 seats, instead of 42. The 43rd seat the party would win, he claimed, would be Baramati, the bastion of the Pawar family. Fadnavis was addressing a gathering booth workers. Among the leaders present were the BJP national president, Amit Shah and the state party chief, Raosaheb Danve.
"We will put all our efforts in the forthcoming LS elections in all 48 seats. This time we will win one more seat, that of Baramati," said Fadnavis. He was highly critical of the Congress and the NCP at this meeting.
