Fire in min’s bungalow, next to CM’s house

MUMBAI: A minor fire broke out at Dnyaneshwa­ri bungalow in Malabar Hill on Monday night. The bungalow is adjacent to Varsha, the official residence of the Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis. No casualties were reported. The bungalow once housed the former chief minister, Narayan Rane, and currently, it is the residence of Girish Bapat, the state’s food and civil supplies minister. According to fire officials, a call was received at 9.01pm and the fire was brought under control by 9.20pm, with the help of two fire engines and two water tankers. Add:- Dyaneshwar Bunglow servant quarters, Near Versha Bunglow, Malabar Hill. Time of call: 2055 hrs Time of arrival of fire officials: 2106hrs Time of Level 1 Stop msg fire call: 2106 hrs ( Fire Extinguish­ed) Fire was confined to electric wiring, electric installati­on, household articles etc in ground floored servant quarter of Dyaneshwar­i Bunglow. The fire was extinguish­ed by one small line of fire engine and one first aid line of QRV after cutting off electric supply.
