Drunken youth demands sex from dancer at gunpoint, held

Four bar dancers have lodged a complaint with Vadgaon Mawal police against two youths who tried to coerce a dancer into sex at gunpoint. One of the accused youths, Sharad Veer, has been arrested, police said.

The four bar dancers are from Panvel and had gone to Pune after being contacted by youths for an assignment. The youths took the dancers to Falne village in Mawal taluka. They wanted a private performance and whisked them away to a farmhouse. They were inebriated.

In a drunken state, KK alias Kailash Kunjeer, one of the youths, got a bargirl drunk and demanded sex. When refused, he threatened her with a gun. Feeling uneasy, the four girls managed to give the slip to the drunk and sought refuge in a village temple. They were on their trail. The locals who witnessed the scene alerted Mawal police, who rushed to the spot and rescued them.

After an FIR was filed, police nabbed Veer, and are now on the lookout for KK. The youths are residents of Pimpri-Chinchwad.
