Jyotiraditya Scindia’s wife enters politics

A new name has been added to the list of wives of politicians entering politics in Madhya Pradesh. Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, wife of Congress MP Jyotiraditya Scindia is starting her political career by touring Guna constituency before the Lok Sabha elections.

Priyadarshini would be touring Guna-Shivpuri constituency between February 18 and 26 and attend various programmes including women conventions.

Priyadarshini’s tour of Guna-Shivpuri is seen having connection to upcoming general elections. The demand to give ticket to Priyadarshini from Guna constituency is becoming dominant this time. Congress workers have been demanding ticket for Jyotiraditya from Gwalior and Priyadarshini from Guna in the Lok Sabha elections.

Priyadarshini, after her political tour, may contest elections from Guna. Priyadarshini had earlier accompanied Jyotiraditya during election campaigning but it would be the first time when she would attend a programme in the constituency independently.

Scindia, after becoming in charge of UP, would become busy there. Gwalior is also considered close to UP in terms of connectivity. Scindia may also be fielded from Gwalior as the Congress wants to win this seat, which it is losing for long time.
