Shardashram champs

Shara dash ram Vi dy aM EM HS de feted ST.Columba School by 51 runs to emerge champions in the MSSA Inter School Under-16 girls championship at the Islam Gymkhana Ground, Marine Lines, here on Monday.

Shardashram won the toss and elected to bat first, a move that didn’t pay as they lost both their opening batsmen in first six overs with the score on 36.

Thereafter, all-rounder Ketaki Dhure held on to the crease with an unbeaten knock of 72. Shardashram were all out for the score of 134 run in 19.4 overs. Tushi Shah finished with a fivewicket haul for St.Columba School.

St. Columba were never in the chase as they lost wickets in regular intervals, and fell short by 51 runs and their innings folded at 83 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. Captain Tusha Shah was the main contributor with 50.

"We are happy to have won the final and everything went as planned but we were confident about winning this match as we are a balanced side as compared to St. Columba" said Vivek, coach of Shardashram.
