Cops arrest man for killing accomplice
TROMBAY: The Trombay police have arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly stabbing his crime accomplice anticipating that his friend was being dishonest to him and not giving him money after pickpocketing people. The accused identified as Anwar Miya Shaikh was arrested on Monday night after he stabbed the deceased Fakir Mohammed alias Sarfaraz multiple times after which he died due to heart failure. According to the police, Shaikh and Sarfaraz knew each other since a long time and they together had served jail sentence at Pune for being found guilty under petty criminal offences like robbery, pickpocketing and other similar crimes. The duo had many offences registered against them at Bund Garden and Swar Gate police stations respectively. Sarfaraz, worked for the accused as a pickpocketer in trains and buses, but had not given him the share he was entitled to. After things went awry, the accused kicked Sarfaraz near his private parts and later stabbed him in the chest, killing him instantly on Monday.
