NO GROPING IN PM’S PRESENCE

AGARTALA: A Tripura minister is seen on video touching a female ministerial colleague inappropriately around the waist, while he was on the stage, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The alleged incident happened during a rally in Agartala on Saturday, which was also attended by Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb. Tripura's opposition Left Front has demanded that Deb be sacked. However, the lady in question, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Santana Chakma, a young tribal leader, has denied any such ‘indecent’ incident. ‘‘He was trying to get a better view of the PM and trying to come up front. The CPM is trying to politicise the issue," she said, adding, "I will file a defamation case.’’
