Bomber was last year’s JEM recruit

By the time this video reaches you, I will be in heaven...

-

One Adil Ahmad Dar of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has been identified as the suicide bomber who targeted the CRPF convoy.

He belongs to Pulwama district and had joined the terror outfit last year. The Tata Sumo he was driving was laden with at least 300 kg of explosives. His photo and videos emerged minutes after the suicide attack. Adil can be seen in the video, sitting in the backdrop of the Jaish flag, brandishing sophisticated automatic rifles and saying, "By the time this video reaches you, I will be in heaven.’’

The attack is even more baffling as it was believed that almost the entire leadership of Jaish had been wiped out over the years.

Last year, security forces had claimed a big win after Mohammad Usman, believed to be the head of the module behind sniper attacks on forces in the Kashmir Valley, was killed by security men. Usman was the nephew of Moulana Masood Azhar, the chief of Jaish-e-Mohammad. In the video, Waqas goes on to boast about the attacks against India carried out by Jaish in the past -- ICA18 hijacking, 2001 Parliament attack, Nagrota attack, Uri attack, and Pathankot IAF base attack. He also put out "a message for North Kashmir", saying that people in south Kashmir have been fighting against India and that it was now time for people from north and central Kashmir as well as Jammu to join them. Adil was a dropout from school and was working as a mason. He also led prayers in local mosque. ANTI-INDIA POSTS: Twitter was flooded with obnoxious posts from handlers in Pakistan. Some asked "How's the Jaish?’’ Others termed the Pulwama terror attack as "Surgical Strike 2.0" on the CRPF jawans. Mathematics student at Aligarh Muslim University, Basim Hilal, was one of the first ones to celebrate the Pulwama terror attack. His handle, however, was suspended by Twitter minutes after the tweet, reports India Today.com. On February 12, 2018, News18 had reported JeM and LeT are working together to carry out a high profile attack in Kashmir using a vehicle laden with explosives.
