Man held with MD worth `6L in Kurla

MUMBAI: After receiving a tip-off about a man carrying Mephedrone also known as MD on Wednesday, a team of Anti Narcotic Cell’s (ANC) Ghatkopar Unit had laid a trap at Sarveshwar Mandir Road in Kurla (West) where they apprehended the man carrying 150 grams of Mephedrone, worth Rs 6 lakh in his pocket. The accused, Hasan Ali Subhan Ali Shaikh, (34), a resident of Kurla (W), was nabbed right handed by the police team. On suspicion, when the police intercepted Shaikh, they found 150 grams of Mephedrone worth Rs 6 lakh from him. Shaikh was booked and arrested under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. - Staff Reporter
