Mumukshus to meet Governor, CMs of Maharashtra, Gujarat
While the preparation for the grand event of the collective diksha of 44 Mumukshus is going on in full swing in Borivali, Mumbai, many political leaders are congratulating these diksha seekers and appreciating their wish for renunciation. Governor of Maharashtra, C. Vidyasagar Rao, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijaybhai Rupani, have sent out invitations to these Mumukshus and invited them for a collective meet. Excepting the invitations, the 44 diksha seekers will meet the Governor on February 17, Maharashtra Chief Minister on February 18 and Gujarat Chief Minister on February 25 at Gandhinagar. Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijaybhai Rupani, and previously attended the diksha ceremony of 26 people that took place in Ahmedabad last year. This year, the ceremony will begin on March 9, with the diksha taking place on March 13. 44 Mumukshus will attain diksha together under the same pavilion in the presence of thousands of followers. A huge pavilion of 3.5 lakh feet is being built at the Chikoowadi Ground in Borivali for the occasion. Among the Mumukshus, 21 are from Gujarat, 17 from Mumbai, five from Rajasthan and one from Kolkata. Most of these seekers are below the age of 25 years and are well-educated.
