Top seed Sana off to a flier

Top seed Sana D’Souza of (MSD) won both her (cadet) league matches of the CCI Juniors Prize-Money table tennis, at the CCI table tennis room, here on Friday.

Sana easily defeated Mugdha Desai (MCD) 11-5, 11-6, 11-4 in opener and later cruised past the charge of fifth seed Urvi Churi winning in three games at 11-5, 11-6, 12-10.

In the most interesting match of the day, fifth seed Dev Hingorany (MSD) showed great composure as he managed overcome fourth seed Diyaan Shah (MCD). Dev bounced back after being 0-1 down to win the next two to take the lead and clinch the deceider with a 611, 12-10, 11-7, 5-11, 12-10 verdict.
