TC IS HELD ON SEDITION RAP

FPJ Political Bureau / Mumbai: A ticket collector (TC) at Lonavla railway station was arrested by the police on Friday for raising pro-Pakistan slogans as a group of citizens gathered at Shivaji Chowk, Lonavla, on Friday, to pay their respects to the slain CRPF jawans. The man, identified as Upendrakum­ar Shrivir Bahadur Singh, 39, shouted 'Pakistan Zindabad', as the gathering was condemning the attack. He was immediatel­y nabbed and brought to the police station. He was arrested under charges of ‘imputation­s and assertions prejudicia­l to national integratio­n’ -- Section 153B of the Indian Penal Code -- and produced in court, which sent him to police custody until February 18. He has been also suspended; Upendrakum­ar hails from Patna. According to a local Shiv Sena leader, he may have mental health issues.
