Body parts found near Titwala tracks

An unidentified decomposed body was found near the Titwala railway tracks, close to Jivan Patil chawl on Sunday night. According to police, a passer-by informed them that a decompose body was lying in an isolated area. On reaching the spot, the cops recovered the decomposed head and legs. The team called the ambulance and took the body to Rukmani Hospital, Kalyan, where doctors sent them to JJ hospital for the post-mortem. Titwala police said during the investigation, it is believed to be a murder case. A case was filed under sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence) of the Indian Penal Code. When contacted, a senior police official said, “We will wait for the post-mortem report to know if the body is of a man or a women.”
