BJP indulging in grand adulterati­on: Congress

Congress treasurer Ahmed Patel on Tuesday paid back Prime Minister Modi with his own words in the Lok Sabha on February 7, dubbing the Opposition’s bid for a “Maha- Gathbandha­n” (grand alliance) as a ‘Maha- Milawat” (grant adulterati­on).

Modi had asserted that the nation needs a stable government with full majority instead of suffering for the past 30 years from unstable coalition government­s. Ahmed Patel reminded him that his own Bhartiya Janata Party is busy forming alliances, first in Bihar, then in Maharashtr­a and now in Tamil Nadu.

He went on to pose a “maha- sawal” as to whether the alliance the BJP is forging are “Maha- Milawat,” a word coined by Modi or it is out of “Maha-Bhay” (grand fear).
